I've been stateside for 11 months and aside from the fact that I dream of the greener pastures I found whilst away, I have decided to learn to cook. Random? Perhaps. I like to think of it as a new years resolution but I have only accomplished 3 platters since the new year so I think random is more accurate a descripction. But hey, you have to start somewhere, yes?
So, I figure I will write about my adventures. Sounds a little Julie & Julia? Yeah, probably but when I contemplated keeping track of my recipies and their final products I figured that the best place to keep them would be in my blog. Also, I already had one made so that was all set. I just had a computer malfunction because my roommate decided to test the water purification app it doesn't have. News for anyone else who thinks that might be a good idea: it's not. MacBooks are not able to purify water at present. Loosing precious documents can happen. So, all in all I think I'll stick to online storage.
So, recipe 1 and 2 have been misplaced... of course. Yet another reason for online storage. First was vodka penne which I enjoyed and the second was vegetable curry which was also quite delicious. Recipe 3 I do have; the link can be found below. Verdict? ...Good. Not great but good. Ally loved the spice. I am not as much of a spice fan but I still thought it was alright. Mine didn't look quite like the picture below but it was close. I also substituted tofu for chicken since Ally's a veg.

Here's a question: why do I always choose recipes that call for some fandangled kitchen contraption that I do not own? Why would I have a food processor? I need to remember to check the recipes for such things beforehand. Perhaps I will invest in a processor as well, they sound handy. That's all for now.
